FAVERGRAY WINS 3 ABC EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

FaverGray is honored to announce the team won three ABC Excellence in Construction Awards at the annual awards ceremony on Friday, August 5th, 2022.

The team took home an Eagle award for Parkside at the Beach and Pyramid Awards for The Nine at Columbia and MetroWest.

Parkside at East Village Wins an Eagle Award

Type: Multifamily

The Parkside at East Village project is a luxury apartment community located on approximately 20 acres in Lady Lake, Florida. The development consists of 282 apartment units in three 3-story Type A apartment buildings, three 3-story Type B apartment buildings, eight 10-car detached garages, one maintenance building, a clubhouse with a fitness room, a resort-style swimming pool, and a trash compactor enclosure. Each apartment building also includes one elevator.

Construction is generally wood frame with stone and fiber cement trim exterior facade. The roofing consists of architectural style shingles and standing seam metal roofing. All building slabs are post-tensioned concrete slab on grade. Interior finishes consist of painted drywall walls, ceilings with a textured finish, and a mixture of carpet, faux wood flooring, and ceramic tile.

Wood cabinetry and trim with solid surface granite countertops are installed throughout the complex to finish off the traditional southern theme aesthetic. The one, two, and three-bedroom apartments all include screened patios, washer and dryer, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, and shaker-style cabinets. Site improvements consist of water, storm, and sewer utilities that tie into existing public utilities. The site improvements also include resort-style hardscaping, landscaping, irrigation, asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, and large Southern Oak Trees.

The Nine at Columbia Wins a Pyramid Award

The Nine at Columbia offers upscale student housing conveniently located near the University of South Carolina’s campus.

The 486-bed community consists of a five-story building next to a pre-cast parking garage and six 2-story townhome buildings. The Nine at Columbia provides a unique combination of live, study, and play for USC students with premier amenities and a modern style.

Interior amenities include group study rooms with TVs, individual study rooms, a 24/7 study center, a coffee bar, a TV lounge with gaming consoles and a gaming area, a Smart fitness center with yoga focused area, a sauna, and Amazon concierge, and a Smart market.

Exterior amenities include a pool with sun shelf, spa, Jumbotron, outdoor kitchen with BBQ grills, cornhole area, pool cabanas, dog park, hammocks on artificial turf, and outdoor ping pong. All the units include a balcony, stainless steel appliances, modern custom cabinetry, wood-style flooring, and granite kitchen and bathroom countertops.

MetroWest Wins a Pyramid Award

The MetroWest project is a 442-unit luxury apartment community located on approximately 17 acres in Orlando, Florida.

The development consists of 442 apartment units in one 4-story Type III apartment building that includes the Clubhouse, two 4-story Type I apartment buildings, and two 4-story Type II apartment buildings along with one maintenance building, two swimming pools, a pool bathroom, clubhouse containing separate fitness room, spinning room, yoga room and a clubroom containing a full kitchen and bar; a trash compactor enclosure. Type I apartment buildings include two elevators, and Types II and III each include one elevator.

Site improvements consist of water, storm, and sewer utilities that tie into existing public utilities.  The site improvements also include two resort-style swimming pools with hardscaping, a dog park and playground with substantial playground equipment, landscaping and irrigation, asphalt paving, parking shade structures, concrete sidewalks, and a large pond with a water feature. Construction is generally wood frame with some structural steel, primarily in the clubhouse. The exterior is primarily fiber cement siding with brick veneer on the first floor.  The roofing consists of asphalt shingles and standing seam metal roofing.  All building slabs are post-tension concrete on grade. Interior finishes consist of painted drywall walls, ceilings with a textured finish, and a mixture of carpet and LVT flooring.

Stainless steel appliances, wood cabinetry, and trim with solid surface granite countertops are installed throughout the complex to finish off the contemporary style.
