Job Duties:

  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end;
  • Manage the budget and estimate costs;
  • Determine necessary equipment, materials, subcontractors and vendors;
  • Schedule equipment and supply deliveries according to schedule;
  • Prepare reports regarding job status;
  • Resolve problems that may arise;
  • Manage corporate safety plan and compliance;
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, architects, clients, and other key team members;
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors on contract agreements;
  • Plan construction operations;
  • Ensure all deadlines are met;
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly;
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards;

We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager who is passionate about the construction process to join our project management team. General Description:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting Project Managers and/or Superintendents in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards are met. Under the direction of the PM, the Assistant Project Manager is expected to take on any/all tasks in the quest to learn all he/she can about construction. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of construction experience. A degree in construction management or related field is preferred.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project
  • Provide support to the Field Staff
  • Prepare and assist with pre-construction meetings and agendas
  • Assist the PM with managing and monitoring all submittals with conformance to the contract documents
  • Prepare and assist with all project meeting agendas and associated attachments
  • Draft, submit, and track all RFI’s and distribute to all team members as appropriate
  • Review project logs (RFI’s, Submittals, RFC’s, CO’s) on a weekly basis
  • Assist the PM with preparing all contracts, modifications, service orders, etc.
  • Assist the PM with all document control measures and updating those documents accordingly
  • Complete quantity take-offs as requested by estimating and PM

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Procore Construction Management Software or similar
  • Scheduling acumen
  • Ability to interact and work in a team environment with a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job duties:

  • Prepare monthly tax-basis and GAAP financial statements for various entities
  • Monitor and maintain cash balances
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Maintain books and records of various entities as assigned
  • This includes posting all transactions related to those companies.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including intercompany
  • Ensure timely payments of all invoices, rents, taxes, licenses, and note payments for several entities and joint tenancies
  • Prepare analysis spreadsheets and reports as needed/requested.
  • Assist Controller and VP with tax and audit requirements
  • Prepare spreadsheets for auditor and tax accountant.
  • Must be flexible for other duties as assigned: As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required
  • CPA, CMA or CFMA preferred

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • 3-5 years accounting experience, which should include job-costing experience.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • General ledger experience: reconciliations, capital assets, accruals, financial statements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Background check required

Entry-level position on our accounting team. Previous accounting experience not required, candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work on a team. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
