Jake Bailey is an Assistant Superintendent with FaverGray and joined our team in 2022.
He is currently on the field team at The Grove at Ocala, our 329-unit luxury multifamily community located on 36 acres in Ocala, Florida.
Tell us a little about yourself.
25 years old, Florida native.
What is your education/certification background?
Graduated UNF in 2020 with B.S. in Building Construction with a minor in Business Management.
Tell us about some of your previous work experience.
Worked on constructing, resurfacing, painting, and finishing high-end NBA and college basketball courts such as Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, FAU, UCF, etc.
Why did you join the FaverGray Team?
To be able to work with such amazing people!
What is your favorite part of your career?
Seeing a project completed from start to finish. Especially as someone who is just starting out, it is awesome to see all the hard work we are doing actually translate into a finished structure that will house multiple families for years to come.
In a few words, describe what you/your team does for FaverGray.
We work alongside the owner, subcontractors, and our field staff to produce a high-quality multifamily project on time and under budget. We manage the project so-to-speak.

What advice would you give to someone interested in a career in construction?

Who inspires you?
Nims Purja. If you haven’t seen 14 Peaks on Netflix, it is incredible. Nims climbs all 14 of the worlds tallest mountains, over 8000 meters, in under 7 months. He pretty much just did it to prove to the world that nothing is impossible and to bring recognition to the Sherpas that have had such an impact in the climbing world.
How do you define success?
My definition of success is about being able to do what makes you happiest and helping out along the way.
What do you do for fun/hobbies?
When I am not Mountain biking or surfing, I am on a road trip camping out of the back of my truck, looking for mountain bike trails and surf.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I was fluent in American Sign Language in high school and college. I’ve lost a lot of it but could relearn it rather quickly I’m sure.

Joe Rogan, Mason Ho, Ray Gillespie (my grandfather)
